Edward De La Rosa
Edward J. De La Rosa, 54, is the founder and President of De La Rosa & Co., a leading source of capital for public and private infrastructure projects in California. The firm trades about $2 billion each month of municipal bonds, U.S. Treasuries, U.S. Agency Securities, corporate bonds and collateralized debt obligations; and the firm manages a $3.7 billion portfolio of short-term securities. In 2008 De La Rosa established De La Rosa Asset Management to invest in higher-yielding tax-exempt securities and real estate debt instruments. With the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, he has helped to set professional standards for investment bankers and bond brokers financing private and public projects. He founded the De La Rosa & Co. Charitable Campaign in 1998 to support scholarships, health-care services and other programs in California’s diverse communities. De La Rosa holds a Master’s degree in management from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego. In 2004 he was awarded the Dean’s Alumni Achievement Award from the Yale School of Management and he currently serves on the board of advisors to Yale’s School of Management. De La Rosa is a Democrat.
